1965 Barbie Hostess Gift Set Dress and book

Two items from the 1965 Sears exclusive Barbie Hostess Gift Set #1034. This is the Barbie print shirtwaist dress, made in the same fabric you see in the bodice of the “Fun at the fair” dress. Also includes “Barbie’s Easy as Pie” Cookbook from the same gift set. Dress is in overall very nice played with condition. I see no stains. Belt loops are intact but no belt is present. All three red buttons are still attached, as well as the silver snaps on the inside. “Barbie by Mattel“ tag at the neck has some fraying on each side, but is still securely attached. The back of the bodice has a small section where the seam has come undone. Should be an easy repair, but I will leave that up to the new owner. 

The pretend cookbook (which is really just a paper covered piece of card) has some peeling back of the paper cover at the top right corner and discoloration. I will let the new owner decide whether or not to attempt a repair. Please view all photos. Quarter used for scale, not included.
