Vintage Bareuther Waldsadden Porcelain Demi Cup and saucer Bavaria Germany Hand Painted Religious Motif RARE.
Hand painted scenery on both cup and saucer.
Pale yello with a gold rim, painting in a charcoal shades.
In lovely antique condition with no chips or cracks.
There is some darker paint spots in some places, photo's show detail.
The artist init are on the cup, hard to make out.
Approx: Saucer 4 1/2, Cup 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" handle to rim, 2 1/4" T weighing 3.9 ounce for both.
A Bit of History:
Porcelain and pottery marks - Bareuther Waldsassen marks. The pottery was established in Waldsassen in 1866 by Johann Mathäus Riess who gained experienced in the C.M. Renamed Porzellanfabrik Bareuther & Co. in 1887. In 1969, it merged and became Porzellanfabrik Waldsassen Bareuther & Co. A.G. The company filled for bankruptcy in 1994 and close in 1996.
The back stamp indicates that the year made was probable 1970's
